Fittings and Appointments
Appointments should ideally be made for 4 to 5 weeks before your wedding/event date. If your weight is
stable it is possible to have it altered sooner, but if you are likely to change your weight then it is better to
stick to the 4 to 5 weeks before the day.
For the fitting you should bring the underwear and shoes you intend to wear on the day. We cannot stress
enough how important this is to ensure that the length and bust are fitted properly. Feel free to bring a
relative, friend or bridesmaids to your fitting. Allow 30 minutes to an hour for your fitting, during which We
will be able to advise on fit and pin the dress to attain a fit that you are happy with. If you are considering
accessories, this first appointment is a good time to discuss them.
A follow-up appointment will then need to be booked so that you can try the dress on following
alterations. It can sometimes happen that women continue to lose weight following their fitting and
alterations - this inevitably means that the dress needs to be altered again to suit, which makes alteration
more costly. For this reason, if you aim to lose weight it should ideally be done prior to your fitting and
alteration.
